Senior Pastor David A. Lopez was the founder and Chief Executive Officer for what is now Alpha and Omega Christian Center.  He began Faith House Ministries in 1978.  He was ordained in 1980 by Reverend Ed Dufresne. Retired from full time ministry in 2003, he continued to serve as mentor and adviser until 2008 when he and his wife Eileen moved out of area and health issues required full time attention. Pastor Dave shared a fundamental message bringing insight and revelation of the love of God for the world.  As Senior Pastor, he oversaw, mentored, trained and developed our clergy by instilling in them his vast knowledge of the word and practical ministry experience.

Former Senior Pastor of Alpha & Omega Christian Center, passed away on Holy Thursday, March 28, 2013.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen;

his son Andy and his wife Amy;

his daughter Jaime;

and his son Dennis.

 

Pastor Dave was the founder of what is now Alpha & Omega Christian Center in the Culver City area and began Faith House Ministries in 1978.

He was an active member of the local Optimists Club, served as chaplain for the Culver City Fire Department, and spent many treasured years as spiritual mentor to the West L.A. Community College football team.

He served the West Side for more than 30 years, offering dignity and kindness to all in need through food outreach programs and faith leadership within the community.

He loved living beside avocado trees and the ocean and was a fisher of men.

He was a great blessing to so many and will be greatly missed!
