Watchman’s Call

The Forerunner’s Journey

Habakuk 2:1 I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain upon tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Being a watchman doesn’t mean there’s a big name or ‘big ministry’ involved.  A Watchman is appointed — with a simple and specific purpose — to watch.  It means becoming developed even as a trained servant to the King becomes adept at securing the highest point to overlook the situation.  It means listening with more than just your physical senses, but developing your spiritual senses to see what cannot be seen.  It means knowing you may be reproved for what you are saying, but must still speak out against what you spot.  It takes much discipline to only stand and watch until you receive further instruction.

Then with great responsibility and clarity, a watchman must write out the vision of what they see so that others can also see plainly what they see — and be able to run with it!  Yes there is a great charge in being a ‘watcher’ because what is being seen is not for the moment, and must be written plainly enough and in ‘big enough letters’ for others to see and understand for when the moment finally does come.  And rest assured, the moment is at hand…. so runners get ready!

Well, so when does God send ‘watchers’?  When there’s something to watch!!  The words we speak… the prayers of the saints stir activity in the spiritual realm and in response God sends those to stand in the towers to ‘watch’ and ‘write’ and ‘run with it’.

And in response, the spirit of the Lord begins to draw in those whose hearts are melted for Him, the supernatural realms begin to stir and we begin to experience an increase in miracles, signs, wonders.  We begin to experience more of an Open Heaven impartation.  And the watchmen begin to cry ‘Come Up Here’, ‘Come Away to my private chambers and meet with me here’, ‘go and purchase without price milk and honey and bread’.

Pastor John and Jeaneen believe they were drawn to the area of Cleveland Heights for an appointed time. “We’ve been in ‘watchman mode’ for a long time now, starting with our earlier ministry days in Venice Beach, California and along through Northern California. Now here in Cleveland Heights, still under the cover of Alpha and Omega Christian Center, we are sensing the Father’s heart stirring our hearts to run with 24/7 worship and the word.

We’re amazed at the way Father’s hand opens doors and develops relationship so we can connect with other like minded ministries whose hearts cry out like ours. Right here in the project neighborhood where so many are waiting and praying for REVival! We’re crying for REVelation! Knowing that God’s revelation always brings God’s revival!  REV us up Lord, we’re hungry for REVival and your deep REVelation”

One response of our “watchman’s call” is a simple invitation from our home to our neighborhood… ”Come, soak in the Bread of His Presence”.  We believe the name ‘Bread of His Presence’ reflects the anointing release we sense God is pouring into our home. In the days that are at hand we need to sit at His table and eat of His bread.  Inquire about gatherings in the Cleveland Heights area.
